Aimee Blake (FFNZ Co-Chair) and Greer Manderson (FFNZ COO) will be our dynamic duo presenting at Future Whenua Summit at Ngawha Park, Northland!
This is the fourth time the summit has been held and the third time FFNZ has been a part of the schedule. Future Whenua Summit is a pan-sector exploration of the practices and principles available to the rural sector for a thriving future. It is organised by one of our Board members, Zeb Horrell, and we are excited to return to this gathering of regenerative leaders this year!
At FWS24 we’ll explore the critical topics of our time:
How can we best steward our land in New Zealand?
Who are the people and organisations working towards change?
Deploying large-scale regenerative food and fibre systems.
The tools and practises needed to help us towards this goal.
How can humanity and nature flourish as partners?
Igniting the significant collective action required of all of us.
Speakers include:
Victoria Hatton
Rod Oram
Liz Oliver
Dr Mike Joy
Daniel Eb
Mike Taitoko
Future Farmers
And many more!
This year, we’re excited to announce that Future Whenua Summit will be coming to you from Ngawha Innovation Park in beautiful Northland, a parallel province at the other end of the country from our Southland home base.
A significant part of our focus is committed to transforming our farm into a facility that nurtures regenerative innovation & entrepreneurship so we couldn’t be more proud to partner with Ngawha Park who have already committed to revitalising a 1000-acre working farm, creating a hub for land-based activities in the far north.
Ngawha is enabling entrepreneurs to create both robust economic and ecological systems whilst showcasing a live demonstration of how regional hubs can empower local, steward-led economies. Serving as a compelling model that can be emulated throughout New Zealand & one we hope to see flourish as our own efforts grow.
The summit will be guided by the broad themes of innovation & biodiversity and our lineup of talks and workshops reflects key aspects of these topics. There will be a spectrum of high-level to grassroots, pragmatic ideas discussed and showcased.
We aim for the summit to leave a meaningful impression, inspiring deep reflections and lasting connections. We hope to see you at Future Whenua Summit 2024!
